I recently tried hypnosis for the 2nd time to help me quit smoking, and it genuinely surprised me—in the best way. I didn’t expect it to make cravings feel different, but it really did.
The biggest change I noticed was how my mind responded to the urge. Instead of feeling like cravings were something I had to fight for willpower, hypnosis helped me shift how I experience them. The sensations felt less intense and less “urgent,” and I wasn’t spiraling into that same automatic craving loop. I also felt more aware of triggers—like stress, routines, and certain moments—without getting pulled under by them.
What made it feel especially helpful was that it addressed more than just the habit. It made the whole experience feel calmer and more manageable. When cravings showed up, I could recognize them, breathe through them, and let them pass rather than treating them like a command.
If you’re trying to quit and you’ve struggled with cravings in the past, hypnosis may be worth considering. For me, it helped reduce the pull of smoking, made cravings easier to handle, and helped me feel more in control—one sensation at a time.
