What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a trance-like mental state in which people experience increased attention, concentration, and suggestibility. So, people in a hypnotic state often seem sleepy and zoned out, but in reality, they are in a state of hyper-awareness.

Hypnosis is a very real process that can be used to make changes in people's lives.  We see people to stop smoking, to lose weight, to remove a bad habit and to improve their golf game.  In addition, hypnosis has been shown to have medical and therapeutic benefits, most notably in the reduction of pain and anxiety.  People with anxiety have been hypnotized to remove fears, lessen stress, learn to relax and to treat insomnia.

Self-Hypnosis

Self-hypnosis can be used to relax and give yourself suggestions to improve your life.  I have used the technique to lose 25lbs just by eating the right foods.  As a result, my mind and body are satisfied with healthy foods.  Because I don't consider sweets, breads, pasta or any processed foods, they are removed from life.

The perfect time for self-hypnosis is when you're falling asleep at night or when you're waking up.  At these brain wave levels, your subconscious mind is open to suggestions.  We teach techniques to utilize this time to improve your life.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is quite different as the hypnotist guides the subject into a deep trance where suggestions can be made to make life changes.  

Stage Hypnosis

Many people have their first exposure watching a stage hypnosis show.  They see the hypnotist get his volunteers to listen and act on his suggestions.  The volunteers may do goofy acts or behave in funny ways.  Really, most of these volunteers want to entertain and by removing all internal hesitation, they do in fact, entertain.
