Four Steps for Hypnosis For Quitting Smoking

Step 1: Conviction

YOU must have conviction, that is YOU must really want to quit.  This means that you cannot quit smoking because your spouse wants you to quit or your children, or your parents. It must be YOU that wants to quit smoking.

Step 2: Pre-Session Videos on Hypnosis to Quit Smoking

You will be sent links to two videos to view.  Video 1 explains the Mind Model and describes what you will feel during your first session.  Video 2 is the Smoking Protocol's Pre-Talk which discusses your habit and how the power of a hypnotic trance can change your mindset and behavior.

Step 3: Neurological Process to Eliminate Cravings

We work with your neurological system to remove the cravings associated with cigarettes.  We utilize the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to reduce the cravings for tobacco.  Similar to acupuncture, EFT works with certain meridian points connected to your nervous system and will reduce and eliminate the cravings.

Step 4: Sessions

The first hypnosis session will eliminate stress and anxiety in your life that may be a cause of your reliance on cigarettes. You will learn how hypnotherapy works and experience a full hypnotic session.


The night before your second session, you will throw away all your cigarettes. You are done smoking! The next day, you will come to the session without having smoked a cigarette. We will work on any cravings you may have using the tapping routine from Step 3. During the session, suggestions will be made to your subconscious mind to create new behaviors and eliminate the smoking habit. You will be a NONSMOKER.


In the third session, hypnosis will be used to reinforce the learnings of the first two sessions. You will be given an audio recording to listen to for the next few weeks to keep you on track. You are done with cigarettes!

It's been about 3 weeks and I am a non-smoker

I Smoked Over a Pack of Cigarettes a Day

I wanted and was ready to quit smoking at age 63. I smoked over a pack a cigarettes a day since I was 11 years old. 2 weeks a go I went to see Tom and I’m amazed because my obsession to have a cigarette has been removed. Everything I did in my day was based on my next cigarette. I feel so much more freedom, I get to sleep in later in the morning because I no longer have to sit with coffee for a half hour before I get started for the day, and I get so much more done during my days because I don’t take smoke breaks constantly. Hypnosis sessions can be done online.  All you need is a computer with a web cam and microphone.  Prior to scheduling a session, indicate that online is your preference.

How long is the hypnosis session?

The first session generally takes 1 hour to complete.

What is the fee for the session?

When you click to schedule a session, the fee will be displayed.  The fee usually is around the cost of 2 months of cigarettes.

How long does it take to work?

Smokers people become nonsmokers once they leave the second session.  

Does the Protocol work for Cigars, Chewing or Vaping?

Yes.  Using tobacco of any kind is a bad habit, a habit that has serious health consequences.  The Stop Smoking Protocol can be adapted to eliminate all bad habits. Vaping is a little different since tobacco is not involved. Review the material on vaping.

Where do the sessions take place?

Most sessions are done in our office in Montgomeryville, PA.  However, if you prefer to do a remote session, I have had equal success doing sessions online.

Where are you located?

The office is located at 105 Montgomery Ave in Montgomeryville, PA 18936 which is in the Philadelphia area in Montgomery County.  You will receive directions to the office on your confirmation email upon scheduling your first session.

Hi! I am Tom Laessig.

I received my first hypnotherapist certification in 2018 from the National Guild of Hypnotists and I have seen hundreds of clients in my Montgomeryville, PA office and online using Zoom.
